Really well done pilot! I could easily understand what was going on, the voices were good, the animation was simple at parts but worked, and I liked all the characters overall. This shows great promise! (Also gotta let me know how you do those Popsicle stick animations because I absolutely loved it)

Stradomyre responds:

Thank you! Means a lot to me :) And me and my brother set up a green screen and lights to film the popsicle puppets so I could rearrange them in post :) Glad you enjoyed!

You know the high renaissance correct? One of the most defining pieces of art from that era is the Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci. For centuries this painting has encapsulated the awe and wonder of humans and for many more centuries it will do so. The piece is timeless, nothing seems like it could ever come close to the universal recognition that it has. Until a man named Cam uploaded his movie “woah sharks” to Newgrounds.com. The music, the elegance of the sharks bouncing up and done as the play their hearts out with their trumpets, it is perfection in an AVI format. People from all over the world gather to watch woah sharks everyday, even more so than the Mona Lisa. The instant fame over night shows that Cam is one of the world’s most ingenious artists of not just our time, but of all time. There will never be anything ever again that could possibly rival the sheer brilliance that is “woah sharks”.

I really liked the artstyle and how this was animated. Was cool that the story was simple enough that I didn't need voices to explain what was happening. Good job on this!

Much appreciated <3

Had a good laugh from this. I love how well you can tell a funny story without the use of any dialogue. Animation was a goodie too. Great work man! (And I like how you animated me in the credits lol thanks)

ChutneyGlaze responds:

thankyou! yes I love the Snail pirate girl good choice!

The animation was real good and I liked the dumb humor throughout this. And I don't know if I'm losing my marbles but I could have sworn I remember seeing this before on the Picoday twitch livestream this year. Either that or I just had a really weird dream that somehow had this whole animation play in it. Regardless, I really enjoyed this and hope to see more stuff from you!

Brewster responds:

that was real! it was the secret premiere!! earlier that day it screened in front a room full of people for the first time and I had to do an artist statement

This had a lot of charm in it. The animation and ways you showed the emotions of the characters was really well done. I loved the original Teen Titans scene of this chase and you were definitely able to keep the same fun energy here. And the song is pretty darn catchy too. Great work on this!

LZbros responds:

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

Well we finally got to see this scene in the anime today! Your rendition of this scene from the manga was really well done, you kept to what the characters look like really well and the animation is pretty good too. Not to mention you kept the scene pretty tense as well and did the reveal of the eyeball fantastically. Great work!

Jaxks responds:

thank you! I love how they overly animated that scene in the anime haha

Animation wasn't too bad. The voice acting could have been way better, I didn't like the "My parents are in the other room" scream. You have to either go all out or don't do it. The last bit with the guy was really funny though. The way you drew him inside the kid's body was great. This was a pretty good submission for the most part, good work!

vividlay responds:

Thanks for the feedback!
In my future animations, I’ll definitely try to make the voice acting better.

Melvin has put the fear of God into me. Dude, this was fucking hilarious. I found myself audibly laughing out loud multiple fucking times, especially with some of the insane violence. Only nitpick is to try and improve on leveling your audio, many times there were characters who's voices were too low while others were a bit high. Other than that I absolutely enjoyed this and can't wait for the next chapter. Great work!

smellson responds:

I'm glad you and a lot of other people are digging my idea! I was mainly worried about how people would take in the pacing/story because I've been working on this project for so long I couldn't tell if the jokes were funny anymore/ if they were delivered properly. Glad to see this show is being presented in the same way I pictured it a year ago. As for the audio, it was honestly me being lazy hahaha
